Recently Cobalt Chains took the initiative to become ISO 9001 : 2008 certified. ISO 9001 is a management system standard which we use as the basis for our Quality Management System. The goal of the ISO organization is to publish standards that create a “common language” for management and technical systems across industrial countries, which helps ensure worldwide compatibility.

We began the process to become ISO certified in September 2016 by meeting with an ISO consultant to help us set up a quality management system that complied with ISO standards. With this quality management system came documentation that our previous quality control system lacked. We now have a data trail for everything. We’ve incorporated metrics, customer surveys and performance trackers to help us with customer satisfaction.

Our ISO certification doesn’t just benefit us at Cobalt Chains – it benefits our customers too. Customers who are familiar with ISO will know what to expect from us and the methods we will go through to fix any issues should they arise. It is reassuring for our customers to know that we are constantly tracking our metrics in order to better serve them.

Cobalt Chains’ quality policy is as follows:  Cobalt Chains is committed to helping our customers achieve and exceed their goals and continually improve the effectiveness of our quality management system. We are able to uphold this policy through the use of ISO and the standards it provides. Not only through reflection, but action. We take the time to reflect upon areas that need improvement (reflection) and then take the necessary measures to improve (action).

We at Cobalt Chains are proud to have completed the ISO certification process. When it normally takes a minimum of 6-9 months to complete the program, we were able to complete it in just 3 months.
